Dominican Republic Mission Trip

During my senior year of high school, I took the most influential trip of my life. I went along with about 15 classmates and the school chaplain on a catholic mission trip to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic for a week. During this trip we had the task of building a cement wall around the future site of a school. I learned so much about hard work and I also feel I was able to expand my teamworking abilities on this trip. I learned firsthand how to work in a group and accomplish a task. In the end we were able to complete the wall and hopefully provide a brighter future for the neighborhood's children in the coming years. Being able to go on this trip changed the way I look at the things we have anddon'tt have in life and gave me theopportunityy to learn real world experience at a young age.
