Business Day One Project

During my freshman year at Marquette University I participated in a class called business day one. In this class there was a primary group project throughout the entire semester where teams of 4-5 students worked on a virtual coffee shop simulator. The goal was to make all the right decisions to drive in customers and sales for your coffee shop. We chose to purchase the less expensive decorations in exchange for purchasing higher quality coffee beans. This allowed us to sell premium coffee at a non-premium price which helped us drive a lot of volume throughout the simulation. Our group was successfully able to win the class competition by making several critical decisions involving price and marketing to bring in the most revenue out of anyone in the simulation. My team was amazing, and it was a great experience to learn how to work with different personalities.
